I’ve attempted to chronicle my life in the past – with limited result. I would like to suggest, however, that this most recent account – The Allport Authority – is going to be more permanent than previous web logs. I say this not only because I have paid money for the domain registry. Rather, my enthusiasm comes from a desire to demonstrate that there are, in fact, many interesting things that happen in the day-to-day life activities. These may range from significant events, thought relationships that develop, theoretical approaches to problems, and even to minor complaints about traffic. I have no doubt that some of the material that I present will have little interest to you, the reader. I can say this with authority because I am well aware that I have been greatly disinterested in writing much of it.
The overall benefit is that you might come to better understand my approach to living. You may find some aspects admirable while others may leave you with a lingering sense of distaste. In other cases you may find yourself completely indifferent. I would like to be made aware of each of these as they take place. I am learning nothing as a result of writing any of these posts down. Indeed, by the time I make it back to my computer and begin typing away, my thoughts have already moved well beyond what had originally inspired me. Every post is, therefore, a laborious process that immediately proves tiresome and overly registered in the past.
