I haven’t studied our presidents in depth. But, I do have to say my vote goes for Lincoln for his contribution to civil rights. There were lots of negative reprecussions to his decision, but he knew it was right and did it anyways. No pandering to his dissenters. And, he had lots of personal tragedy to overcome. The last years of his life must have been lonely and sorrowful. A great man, for sure. Today’s politicians don’t hold a candle. They don’t even deserve to be considered in the same company.
